Venture Live Events was created in 2026 as a formal way to get my services out there and for enquiries. We're currently comprised of just the one person - Ari (me!)
In early 2020 when the pandemic hit, my music teacher found a canadian company, Beat Drop, was offering a free online 1-week music production course. As someone who had always liked music, and technology, this seemed like a natural next step for me, so I joined the course. This snowballed into me doing weekly lessons with them for the next four years. Over that time, I got to know the instructors really well, and when one ended up taking a break from teaching to be the monitor engineer on Paloma Faith's UK tour in 2022, he invited me and my dad to see one of the shows, and to give us a quick peek at their setup backstage. 14-year old me (sorry if that makes you feel old) thought this was the coolest thing ever and wanted to do it myself. Shortly after, my school put on the first show since the pandemic, The Demon Headteacher - so I volunteered to run sound. From there, I started doing more and more shows for my school. This included the musical School of Rockin December of that year where I was dealing with radio mics, a variety of concerts and band nights from early 2023 through early 2026, whole-school assemblies, conferences/meetings with the MAT's staff, parent information evenings and student open evenings. The two most notable things I've done with them were two of their music tours, where I ran sound for a group of ~60 of our students in Spain in 2023 and Germany in 2026 to perform a variety of concerts at a variety of different venues over the span of a week; and the musical Chicago in December 2025, where all the tech (lighting & sound, including the rigging, designing, programming, and planning) was managed by me. I also did a fair few events outside of school including Belper Pride in 2025. Since then, I've started at the University of Derby on the Sound, Light and Live Event Engineering course (SLLEE, formerly SLLET) and have already done a variety of events as part of the course. I still go back and volunteer at my school when I have the time, and also now work as a technician at Derby Theatre after volunteering there on and off since early 2024, having helped during multiple of their maintainance periods, and a variety of shows they've put on.
